Travel info

Below is an update on what to bring, venue, and registration. Your enjoyment and comfort on the camp is important to us.

Important Stuff:

Given we are all adults below is a general list, you bring whatever else you feel necessary:

Casual clothes – for social time (and yes slippers and trackies are considered appropriate)

Dobok(s)

Sandshoes –

Thermals/ beanie in case it’s cold

Earplugs (just a suggestion….but you have been warned, the dorm gets pretty noisy on Sat night with all the snoring)

Warm jacket/top

Toiletries/ Towel(s)

Pillow

Sleeping bag/Bedding.  You are sleeping on vinyl cover mattresses in bunk rooms. You may want a sheet or blanket to cover the mattress. Separate male and female dorms.

BYO beverage for Friday and Saturday nights. Alcohol is permitted. Tea, coffee and milo will be provided.

Medications

There are coin operated washing and drying machines on camp if you wish to use these. Bring your own powder.

Traveling:

Wishing you all safe travels. Please note the camp is 15km from the main road, and is now sealed. Expect it to take approx 15-20minutes, just keep driving to pretty much to the end of the road.

Confirming the address is:

Aongatete Outdoor Education Centre,  834 Wright Road, RD4, Katikati. The turnoff is between Katikati and Tauranga)

Registrations:

Registrations from 6pm. We will be on site, setting up, from about 4pm. For those who would prefer to find the venue in the daylight you are welcome to turn up from 4pm onwards and explore the venue. Only joking… you will be helping us setting out the mats.

Remember to sort out your own dinner on Friday. Please feel free to use the camp kitchen if you wish.
