ITF Taekwon-do World Championships 2011

Earlier communications from the Worlds Organising Committee was that it  was a requirement of NZ Immigration that each overseas invited guest attending the 2011 International Taekwon-Do World Championships was to carry the original Invitation Letter on them when they arrived in New Zealand.

For Visa required countries who have registered on our Website we have already emailed the PDF letters to the Team Managers. Last week we couriered the original Invitations Letters via TNT for most Visa required and non Visa required Countries, Umpires and VIP’s.

We now have confirmation from NZ Immigration that they will accept a printed copy of the PDF Invitation Letter if for any reason you do not receive your original Invitation Letter via courier before your journeyto NZ begins. You must have these Invitation Letters with your travel documents.

For those Countries who have not yet forwarded their postal address, your Invitation Letters will be emailed in PDF Format to your Team Managers for their distribution this last weekend. If Team Managers have not received your TNT couriered letters by the 1st March 2011 please contact your Liaison and we will email them to you.

To the people of Christchurch City our thoughts and hopes go out to you all at this very difficult time. We understand that our ITFNZ members and family are safe not withstanding the difficulties that they are facing.

This is to inform you that the ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships Registration Site is now closed.

A summary of your Registered Delegation Members has been emailed to you .

The entries can also be viewed online using your normal Team managers Login.  You have 48 Hours from midnight 11th February 2011 GMT Time to check that your entries are accurate and correct.

If you have identified any errors you must immediately inform entries@ITFNewZealand2011.com and we will advise if those errors can be accepted. If you accept that your Delegation Summary is correct then you again must immediately inform entries@ITFNewZealand2011.com that the information is true and correct. In the event that we have not received your response or confirmation with the 48 hour time period, we will assume that the information you have entered into the Registration Site is true and accurate.

No additional entries will be accepted after the closing of the Registration Site at midnight 10th February 2011 NZ Time.

To those Countries who have outstanding errors on the Registration site – these must be corrected urgently before midnight 10th February 2011. Any entries with errors cannot be approved and therefore will not appear in the public view of competitor entries.

The Competition Draw will then be prepared and published on the Official web site of the ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships 2011 at www.ITFNewZealand2011.com

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Please help us by supplying clear photos for each person. ID Cards without photos may cause delays at Registration.

It is the responsibility of the Team Managers to make sure they are added

1. All information relating to the Competition Area such as Ring Councils and the list of Umpires that will be participating in the Competition Area will be handled by the ITF Umpire Committee.
2. The 2011 World Championships Organising Committee will take care of all other issues for the Umpires outside the Competition Area (ie) Accommodation, Meals, Invitation Letters, Travel or Visa Queries,
   
3. The ITF Umpire Committee have created an application form called 2011 World Champs Umpire Registration. This form is now available on the www.ITFNewZealand2011.com website and under the Umpire News section of the ITF official site www.tkd-itf.org
4. All Umpires will need to complete and send this form to all Members of the ITF Umpire Committee. Download form here
   
5. The ITF Umpire Committee will select the Umpires and send a letter of confirmation to each National Governing Body within 72 hours of the form being recieved.
6. The selection of Umpires will be made from this form only, not from the Officials Registration site.Those who have already registered as an Official on the online Registration site, will be contacted and asked to complete this form.
   
7. Please understand that submitting this form does not mean that you have been automatically approved.
   
8. The ITF Umpire Committee will publish the list on www.ITFNewZealand2011.com
   

Can all National Governing Bodies confirm with the ITF Umpire Committee that they have recieved and are aware of this communication.

We have been checking the entrants that are entered in the registration site. When Team Managers view each competitor a message may appear at the top of the screen indicating the entry has an error

The main errors encountered are

• Black belt Number not entered correctly
• Student not registered with ITF
• Photo not available

Please can you check that the details are correct and update where necessary

Accommodation Fees
Team Managers will pay the required deposits and group payment in New Zealand dollars to the Travel Account. Details will be given to the Team Manager by Trisha Inglis who can also advise on a telegraphic transfer contact for assistance.

Although the Organising Committee has booked a range of Hotels for the duration of the Championships, March is a popular and busy month for Wellington. If your Delegation and Supporters want to secure a Hotel Booking then please contact Travel@ITFNewZealand2011.com without delay. If you leave this too late you risk having to travel out of the city, pay a higher accomodation rate as well as a penalty fee and there will be no guarantee that an alternative accomodation will cater for the size of your group.

This is the official Registration website for the ITF Taekwon-Do Worlds Champiosnhips to be held in Wellington  New Zealand during March of 2011.

This site is intended to be used for country Team Managers to register themselves and to register their Competitors, Management and Coaching Team.

Once registered Team Managers will be validated and a user name and password sent. It is expected that only 1 login per country will be permitted but if additional one’s are required especially for those larger teams, then please contact the Registration Site manager on entries@ITFNewZealand2011.com.
